🐾Home Boarding🐾

Here at Rookery Lodge we offer a home from home dog boarding service. We will treat your dogs like they are our own. The dogs board in my home, along with my residential dogs. With the owner’s permission, dogs are walked and exercised off site. We walk in the local woods and riverbank areas and we have the use of my own field for exercising. Prior to any boarding, you will be invited for a meet and greet appointment, so you can meet me and see the set up and be happy with your dog staying here. Following on from this a trial day and night (depending on length of boarding) will be required.

🐾Day Care Services🐾

Our day care service is structured, we do not allow multiple dogs to run around all day doing their own thing. We do not want to encourage unwanted behaviours by allowing the dogs to be ‘self-employed!’ Dogs will be walked or exercised off site during the day (with owners permission), they will be socialised, and have time to play, which is managed so they do not learn any bad behaviours. Your dog will have time to relax, without interruption.

🐾Wedding Service🐾

Getting married? If you would like your dog/s to attend your wedding ceremony, we can tailor a package to suit your requirements for the day. Please contact us to discuss, each wedding is different so a bespoke package will be arranged. (Travel up to 1hr)

🐾Doggy ‘Pawty’ Party🐾

Celebrate your dogs birthday in style! We can arrange a ‘Pawty Party’ for your dogs and their friends. These are bespoke packages, please contact us for further information.

🐾 Important information 🐾

Home Boarding

All dogs on site must be up to date with their current vaccinations (DHP L2/L4), or a veterinary certificate of a titre test (within 12months), they must also be up to date flea and worm treatment, prior to their arrival. Kennel cough vaccine is recommended but not mandatory, if you choose to have this vaccine, please note I am unable to board your animal for 4 weeks after the vaccination.

You will be required to complete a booking form and a copy of your dog’s vaccination record must be attached to the booking form.

Dog food is NOT provided, please bring your own food. This is better for your animal as a change of diet can often cause a stomach upset!

Please note, this is a home from home setting, therefore, I am unable to board any dogs with aggressive behaviours towards either humans or other animals.

Dog Boarding Charges*

First Dog:                £30 per day

Additional Dogs:       £25 per day

Assessment and Trial – Cost of boarding as above.

*VIP (Very Important Paws) Clients will be charged a different rate to the above. This is for clients who use my day care services and also board their dogs here.

Please note that the day of arrival is charged in full regardless of the time you drop off your dog. Departure day is not charged IF you collect your dog before 0900. After this time a day care charge will apply.

Day Care

Monday to Friday –

Rate 1 – £18.00        0900-1700

Rate 2 – £20.00       0800-1800

Rate 3 – £22.00       0730-1900

Half Day – £10.00     0900-1300 or 1300-1700

Weekend Day Care Rates:

Rate 1 – £25.00        0900-1800

If you need a different drop off/pick up time, please contact me.

Booking deposits and cancellation fees

Home Boarding – A 25% deposit is due at time of booking to secure place; your booking is not confirmed until the deposit has been paid.

The 25% deposit is non-refundable but can be transferred to another booking within 6 months.

A minimum of 4 weeks’ notice is required for cancellation of home boarding bookings. The deposit is non-refundable, but transferable to another booking within 6 months.

Short notice bookings of less than four weeks – full payment required at time of booking.

Payment of Invoices, the remaining balance is due PRIOR to collecting your dog, payment can be made by bank transfer, PayPal or cash.

Day Care – A minimum of 7 days’ notice is required to cancel a booking or full charge applies.

Arrival & Departure times

Home Boarding – Collection is between 0830 and 0900 on day of pick up. Ater 0900 a day care charge will apply.

Please do not arrive early for your drop off/pick up. If you do arrive ahead of time, please wait in your vehicle; We may be dealing with another client. We will come and get you once we are free.

We understand that sometimes things don’t go to plan! If you are running late, could you please message or leave a voicemail to let us know.

PLEASE DO NOT OPEN THE GATE WHEN YOU ARRIVE OR ENTER UNACCOMPANIED, DUE TO THE RISK OF POTENTIAL LOOSE DOGS.

Someone is on site, day and night, please be respectful that this is my family home as well as my business, so there are strict drop off and pick up times. Your co-operation is greatly appreciated.
